Black Experience in the Arts Collection

<a href="https://archivessearch.lib.uconn.edu/repositories/2/resources/995" show="New" actuate="OnRequest">Black Experience in the Arts Collection finding aid</a>. Audio recordings, part of a larger collection containing notes and lecture materials, created as documentation of the course taught by Edward O'Connor and Hale Smith entitled "Black Experience in the Arts" (Music Department and Center for Black Studies, UConn) between 1970 and 1990. As part of the course "Black Experience in the Arts," Professors O'Connor and Smith invited African American musicians and artists to the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut to speak with students.
