Air Line Junction - Woodlawn line. Train 1, "The Sunrise," traveling from Boston to Grand Central Terminal, in Larchmont, New York. Named "Roger Williams," the six-car train of RDC unit has a locomotive nose at each end. The train was built by the Budd Company in 1956 and has two 300-hp six-cylinder in-line diesel engines under each car, driving the train through torque converters with a total horsepower of 3600. In addition, the train has 600v DC traction motors for operation into Grand Central Terminal. [Description written by the photographer].
