Description
Samuel and Thomas Darling were executors of the late Thomas Darling, Esq., who in turn was executor of the late Jemima Griffin of New Haven. Jemima had manumitted Caesar, "a Negro Servant or Slave," who after her death "has become weak, aged and infirm & totally unable to support himself." Charles Baldwin and Daniel Tolles, selectmen of Woodbridge, sued on behalf of the town for the Darlings to support Caesar.
